24 World Cup contests are already registered on the FAI calendar for this third edition of the FAI Drone Racing World Cup.

FAI Drone Racing
Multi-rotor FPV – or drone – racing competitions consist of successive races in which several radio controlled model aircraft fight it out to be the fastest around a pre-determined circuit.
The events can take place inside or outside, while each pilot taking part has a helper to assist him or her. The high-tech drones used are equipped with on-board video cameras that transmit FPV (first person view) images to headsets worn by the pilots, allowing them to steer the tiny aircraft around the race circuit.

Drone Reached 10 km Altitude

A record rise was realized on March 14 this year by a certain amateur - Denis Koryakin. Denis called it an experiment whose goal was to reach a height of 10 km and return safely to the take-off site. Five years of Bangkok Hilton for drone take-off

In Thailand, since January 9 this year, free use of unmanned aerial vehicles is prohibited. For the use of civil drones in Thailand, mandatory registration is required. Otherwise, the offender faces a prison sentence of up to 5 years and / or a fine of 200 thousand baht. According to the National Commission for Broadcasting and Telecommunications (NBTC) on October 12, 2017, to date, 7064 drones were registered. In addition, if your flying device has camera of any weight or the drone itself weighs more than 2 kilograms, you must additionally arrange insurance and obtain permission for flights from the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT).
